The client, Resume Scripter delivers face-to-face (F2F) training and workshops for individuals who need help overcoming barriers to employment. To scale and transform the F2F training, the client pivots to providing online training for job counselors in a non-profit organization.
The job counselor's most challenging part is providing adequate and personal help to clients in various situations. The hardest of them are often:
Convincing clients that they need help with resume writing.
Helping mature job seekers to overcome ageism in employment.
Coaching graduates with limited professional experiences.
Guiding job seekers framing justice involvement history in their resume.
Some of the main challenges of this project are:
The learning experience must be tailored to the learners’ needs using adult learning principles.
The learning experience must be engaging and interactive for the learners in the appropriate course medium and format.
The solution must be accessible and scalable.
The project needs an online learning platform that can support SCORM, generate certificates, enable coupons, and manage students’ enrolments.
The course's visual guidelines should align with the existing corporate website.
As a customer-centric company, we started our journey by exploring the Job Counselor persona. We listed their challenges and their current knowledge. We repeated the same process with the learner persona and eventually connected our findings to form cohesive and focused user stories. This approach leveraged our years of experience in co-design and collaborative frameworks.
Design and Development
Next, we outlined the course and storyboarded the content based on the unique needs of the Counselors. We designed and recorded micro video presentations using Keynote live-video feature and developed interactive content with Evolve authoring tool to deliver an engaging format.
We chose Thinkific as the hosting platform to sell the course. The platform’s features met all the project requirements:
ability to manage and manually enroll students
affordable and flexible plan and pricing
manage videos and video captions
ability to host multimedia files such as SCORM
ability to produce certification and coupon code usage.
I utilised AdobeXD to design the prototype and Microsoft Word to design ensuring a brand-aligned quality products for the end the result. Every last design detail is considered including:

Evolve interactive content.

We delivered the Workforce Training Program online course hosted on Thinkific designed to align with the existing corporate website to maximize Resume Scripter's brand value. The program comprises six chapters covering topics such as preparing clients for career changes or gaps, writing resumes, or navigating unique scenarios.
The online course contains:
